Starting a Hovercraft Business

We get a lot of inquiries from individuals and companies interested in the business opportunities available for hovercraft, so have created this guide which we hope to update on a regular basis to keep information current.

Hovercraft Experience

If you have not driven a small hovercraft before it is a bit like levitation at speed, like riding a modern magic carpet with steering and throttle. Land to water transitions are great to experience for the first time, it seems unnatural to fly from the waters edge up the slipway, or along the beach, or riverbank edge. Hovercraft fly over any flat surface so over water, sea, river, lake, over mud, sand, grass, tarmac, concrete, ice and snow. It is very hard to describe a hovercraft ride, and many people want to have that experience. Jeremy Clarkson described hovercraft as the most fun you can have with an engine, this line is often quoted, but as reviewed in Wikipedia, the Top Gear Series 6 TV show tested off road toys and resulted in Clark crashing his hovercraft and slipping two discs in his back as a result. So called “race pedigree” hovercraft can prove unstable, before you buy or try, you need to know what questions to ask, and what features to check. Hovercraft should be, and can be perfectly safe to use for personal and commercial use, provided you know what features to look for.
