Starting a Hovercraft Business

We get a lot of inquiries from individuals and companies interested in the business opportunities available for hovercraft, so have created this guide which we hope to update on a regular basis to keep information current.

Ploughing

Some hovercraft have a tendency to nose dive or plough-in on water - catapulting the driver and passengers forward into the water, we fit 4 different shape skirts to prevent ploughing in, and have designed a special hull underside profile. Here is a clip of a hovercraft ploughing into the water, captured on an Australian TV show, 45 seconds into the clip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6ir3o09YR0  Here is another hovercraft ploughing into the water - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXC4szmsW3Q

The Hov Pod has an anti-plough system to prevent this type of accident from happening. The anti-plough system has taken a lot of development, and involves careful attention to the skirt profile and underside profile of the Hov Pod.

We fit 65 different skirt sections to the Hov Pod, to localize damage to a single section, to reduce skirt replacement cost.
